Redecorating My Classroom

I have been VERY busy!  I have decided that I am going to redecorate my classroom.  I am going with a black and white polka dot theme with lime green and pink accents.  I really just wanted to go with the black and white polka dots, but I have a lot of things that are pink and green....lamps, rugs, etc.  I really didn't want to spend the money to replace everything at this point.  :) 

Anyway, one of the tasks that I have taken on is repainting my classroom bookcases.  OH MY GOODNESS, they were a mess!  I had four gray ones, a green one, and a yellow one.  I had looked at the mismatched bookcases for as long as I could stand it. Here are a couple of pictures of the before mess.  :( 

The bookcases are officially painted BLACK and back in my classroom. I was so excited about getting them moved out of my garage and back to school, that I forgot to take pictures of the finished product.  I guess you will have to stay tuned. I will definitely be taken pictures of my classroom as it comes together. 

A CUTE FIND:

Yesterday I was shopping at one of our local gift shops and found the cutest thing.  I had to buy it!  This is a magnetic memo board.  Adorable, huh?  I purchased the green little magnets to go on it.  It has two little hooks on the back for hanging.  I think I am going to hang it by some cute ribbon.  These little magnetic boards are SO versitile.  Even though I purchased it at a local store, the company has a website.
