4th Grade Reading Interactive Notebooks

I have been working since school has been out on this latest product.  I have many hours invested in this notebook SO I am relieved EXCITED to finally have it completed and ready to for you to see.

I have used interactive notebooks for several years, but I finally decided to take each of the reading standards and to create a page to address each standard.  At this time, I only have the reading standards completed (literature, informational, and foundation skills).

Here are some of the pages and what it looks like.

You will see that each page had a title, the standard covered, and an I CAN statement for the standard.  The page also includes some kind of visual to connect the learning and sentence stems to help the students if they are using this notebook as a resource when they are completing individual tasks pertaining to the standard.  Here are some sample pages.

All your students will need a composition notebook, markers, crayons, and/or colored pencils, and copies of the printables included in this file.

What's not to love about interactive notebooks?  It gives students an "anchor" of learning and can serve as a resource all year long.  Not to mention the students are incredibly proud of the final product at the end of the year.  It's amazing to see all the learning that has taken place throughout the year.

If you are interested in checking out this product, please visit my TpT store.

I have these started for other grade levels as well.  I hope to have them completed SOON!  :)  Here is a sneak peek.

Hope you are enjoying your summer break!!!!  :)

  13. I am very excited, I just purchased, downloaded and already printing the 4th grade notebook. So, I have one question for you, how do you utilize this in your classroom? It is used for your mini-lessons, in guided reading groups, student independent reading time. Can't wait to hear how you use it! Oh and by the way THANK YOU! Common core is new to Missouri, and right now a little overwhelming :)

  14. Hi,
I love these but I was wondering if these are editable? I teach Spanish Immersion and would love to have these in spanish!

  15. Maria, the notebooks are not editable. Unfortunately, because of the terms of use on the clipart, I have to keep the graphics secure. I am sorry! :(

  16. Nicole, I had ordered both your language and reading notebooks for fourth grade and I am using the language one but I cannot find the reading download on my computer and I was hoping that you could help me at beachdreamerjvr@aol.com, if needed.
